To everyone who required resetter canon MP198, MP258, MP276, MP496, MP558, MP568, and MP648 to reset ink counter on these canon printer model, I discovered the way to reset these canon printers model on indoreset. Canon MP198, MP258, MP276, MP496, MP558, MP568, and MP648 is canon all-in-one printer verison that made for home and small office.

I don’t realize this reset method work or otherwise not on canon MP198, MP258, MP276, MP496, MP558, MP568, and MP648 because I do not have this printer model to do this reset method.

Resetter Canon MP198, MP258, MP276, MP496, MP558, MP568, and MP648

Prepared to reset your printer, follow the following steps:

Most of these steps should be completed to reset your canon MP198, MP258, MP276, MP496, MP558, MP568, and MP648 printer.

A. Getting into service mode

Switch off the printer off is the printer power on. And take away the printer USB cable out of your computer.

While the printer is OFF, press and hold the Start/Stop button on the another canon printers model press Resume/Cancel button.

While still holding Start/Stop button or Resume/Cancel button, press and keep the POWER button.

Once the POWER LED (green light) lit, release the Start/Stop or resume/cancel button (still holding the POWER button).

Still holding the power button, Press the Start/Stop button or resume/cancel button TWICE then Release the POWER button. Wait until LCD printer to display (zero) number

Following your display is , attach the printer USB cable to the computer, its will detected new device installed (its normal), now check out resetting steps

B. Resetting Ink counter on the Printer

Run “service_tool 1050.exe”. you are able to download the service tool software from this link:

Confirm detected USB-port numbers on USB port column.

Click “Main button” on Clear ink counter section. Be sure you will find papers within the paper feed because printer will print after the operation is complete.

Click “platen button” on the “Clear ink counter” section. The printer will print again.

Turn off the printer and then turn the printer on. You printer is ready for use.

Jika anda mempunyai printer canon jenis MP, baik yang MP145, MP150, dan MP160, semua printer tersebut memiliki karakter yang sama. Code error yang dimiliki juga sama. Bagi yang ingin tahu kode error MP145, MP150, MP160, bisa melihatnya di sini

Kemarin saya baru saja service printer canon MP150 dengan kerusakan code E42 di layar LCDnya. Saya kira printer perlu direset, tapi ternyata setelah printer canon MP150 tersebut direset ternyata kerusakan masih sama saja.

Bagi yang belum tahu cara reset canon MP150 blink E27 bisa membaca di posting ini.

Akhirnya printer coba aku bongkar, saya cek semua mekanik, kelihatannya nggak ada yang bermasalah. Saya coba rakit kembali dan ditest ternyata kerusakan masih sama. Akhirnya saya tanya sama mbah google dan ternyata kerusakan canon MP150 E42 itu disebabkan oleh scanner yang tidak bekerja sempurna.

Akhirnya saya coba bongkar Scannernya, tapi kelihatannya OK - OK saja. Saya curiga dengan kabel data (mirip pita) yang menghubungkan antara scanner dan Board Printer MP150. Kabel saya test, dan ternyata benar dugaan saya, ada beberapa kabel yang putus tapi tidak kelihatan dari luar atau dari fisiknya. Mau beli spare part kabel kok nggak dapet, akhirnya kabel saya potong di bagian yang kira-kira putus, kemudian kabel di kelupas sebelah sisinya. Saya pasang lagi printernya dan ternyata printer kembali bekerja dengan normal.

Demikian pengalaman saya, mungkin ada printer temen-temen yang nasibnya sama dengan printer Canon MP150 E42 yang baru saja saya service ini.,.....?
